      On walking into the pub

      On walking through the main doors you have 2 doors one on the left and one on your right hand side, the one on the left is the gents toilets so I don't tend to go through that one loll. The one on the right hand side is the door to the main room where they hold all their entertainment.

      On walking through the door straight ahead is the bar, which is not a very big bar and can probably only fit around five people stood at it at once. there is plenty of seating area on the outskirts of the room, with both benches and buffets, then there is a small dance floor. then just off the dance floor is a little stage, where they usually have the entertainment that they have on set up.

      Just at the side of the stage you have another door to go through, on the left hand side is the ladies toilets, and opposite them is a cigarette machine which I find you do not find in many pubs anymore.. If you walk straight ahead there is another door to go through which leads into the games room, in here they have a pool table, dart board and some fruit machines, there is also another small bar in here with several seating again. They also have a tv in there that will usually have some kind of sport on. This is the room I don't really go into much.

      The staff

      In here you will always see the same 3 people behind the bar Carmel who is the landlady, Noel who is the landlord, and then the landlords brother who for the life of me I can't remember his name loll. It is a family run pub and as it is the same 3 staff on every week then you do get to know them and they are really friendly towards all of their customers. It is an Irish pub however its usually only the staff in there who are Irish you don't get many customers in who are. You could not meet any nicer people to run a pub they are so friendly, but they also won't take any rubbish off anyone and will stop any type of trouble before it even gets started.

      The prices

      The prices are slightly higher than some of the pubs I go into at £3.10 for a pint of cider, but I find it worth it sometimes as we don't always have great pubs on a Sunday night for entertainment.

      They have nothing on through the week that I know of, but all over the weekend starting at 8pm they always have.

      On a Friday night they have Karaoke with a woman named Debbie, she seems pretty nice and does her job well and makes it enjoyable for all, although I have only ever been on a Friday night, although it does not seem to get very busy, so if you like singing you can guarantee there will be a few times you get to sing.

      On a Saturday they have live turns on but I have never been there on a Saturday night so I am not sure if they are any good.

      On a Sunday night they have Karaoke again but with a bloke called Chad this time, he is really nice and I have known him quite a few years now. I used to go down every Sunday although not as much now. The pub does get a lot busier on a Sunday night though so your singing maybe limited, but its always a good night and good music played also between singers so you can have a little dance too.

      The toilets are kept clean and I have never gone into a dirty toilet yet there and its usually fully stocked up with toilet roll too. The only thing is like with most small pubs they only have 2 cubicles so if you are there on a busy night you may have a little bit of a queue ahead of you.I have seen Carmel go in throughout the night also to keep a check on the toilets so you know they will always be clean.

      Suitable for wheelchairs

      No, as the pub is only small it would be hard to get a wheelchair round the small bends and also they have no disabled toilets, and the toilets would not be big enough to get a wheelchair in.

      Why you may like it

      * Good entertainment
      * Family run
      * Good atmosphere
      * Friendly people

      Why you may not like it

      * More expensive
      * Not suitable for wheelchairs
      * If you don't like Karaoke or turns

      My overall opinion

      I really do like going to this pub, its really warm and friendly and there is never any trouble. The staff are great and will stand and have a natter with you. And the entertainment I love as I do love to have a sing song, although I can't sing loll.

      The only problem with this pub is there prices are a little bit higher but I think its worth the extra few pence to have a good night. I would recommend anyone to try this pub and I am sure you would have a great night out.
