Advantages: Nice place, good staff

Disadvantages: Very very small vegetarian portion

This is a very nice pub with quite a large selection of pumps. The service was excellent. If you sense an "however" then you would sense right.... However, they don't appear to know how to cater for vegetarians which in this day and age is a bit poor. On the menu there is not a single item marked as suitable for vegetarians. Two items seem possibly suitable but one had said it used pesto which is not normally a vegetarian ingredient as it normally (not always) contains parmesan cheese. Fortunately the website had claimed this dish was aimed at vegetarians. Unfortunately, when it arrived it was little more than a snack. I'm not a big eater but I'd polished it off before my companions had really started their meals. It was perfectly edible but extremely bland. As I'm not a fan of puddings that was the end of my meal and I left feeling as if I hadn't eaten at all and when I got home I made myself a nearly full meal, something I've never done before after eating in a pub. Everyone else (all meat eaters) seemed to have plenty to eat. I liked the beer and the pub and I'd like to go back won't until they modify their menu or I just want a pint. I'll keep an eye on the website.

Summary: Don't go if you're a hungry vegetarian
