The Vault

Starting with the positives the bar is right in the centre of town located on Newcastle's famous Bigg Market (the Bigg Market isn't a positive I must state though). So you do not have far to walk to your next bar!! The Vault or Cty Vaults as its now known is probably one of the better bars on the Bigg Market which isnt saying much really. The bar is slightly rough and filled with some characters on a weekend, through the week its mainly students. Its a big bar though so it does get busy and there are a few bars to get served at, you can have a dance or there are places to chill out and have a drink. This bar is excellently situated, as one of the first bars you come to entering the Bigg Market. It is, however, an oldies bar. Yes, it's one of those "over 21s" places that tends to attract "over 30s". The barmaids are good-looking, and topless on match-days, which is always a bonus. Prices aren't bad. Double with coke/lemonade/orange is only £1.50 It's very linear, and has a very wooden theme, which gets a bit dull. The lighting is crap and the punters are ugly.
