Situated at the rise of the Campden Hill Road on the Kensington/ Nottinghill borders, The Windsor Castle is that rarest of creatures - an English pub not in danger of being turned into an anaemic chain bar. The pub is laid out of a series of interconnecting small rooms furnished in weathered dark wood - many a drinking session has taken place here. Not for the Windsor a bunch of mock horse-brasses or books culled from a local second-hand bookshop, rather this is the real thing - a genuine Dickensien pub experience.
