This dingy, dark hole reminds me of the Mos Eisley Cantina out of Star Wars, complete with strange, humanoid aliens too.
Not exactly the type of place you'd want to take your loved one for a drink or meal really.
Food (if you can call it that?) is like cardboard and the locals/staff aren't very pleasant either.
Avoid.

The word “Wetherspoons” used to stir up not-too-happy memories of the odd visit to a certain Manchester branch which was inevitably full of old men. This all changed last week though when we tried out the new pub in Wood Street (opposite Tiggis where we went a couple of days before - can you say “mother over doing the fact that youngest is actually spending more than a couple of nights at home for the first time in nearly a year”?).
