Disadvantages: Not Many. If You're With A Guy You Might Lose His Attention To The TV's

This is the Doncaster branch of the Australian themed Wlkabout Bars that can be found throughout the country.

The Bar can be found at the corner of printing office street. This is right beside a load of other pubs & bars & is a good place for an evening out in Doncaster and is 5 minutes walk from the train or bus station.

This is a quite a large bar. It is open plan & not cut off into sections. There are wooden tables & chairs alongside the comfy couches that you will find in the bars in this chain. They have a very well stocked bar serving both soft & alcoholic drinks. They have imported Australian Beers along with Cocktails & standard British fayre.

The Bar serves good reasonably priced food (as do all the bars in this chain). Lots of different meals are on offer. Sandwichs, Grills, Lasagne & even Curry. They serve Chicken, Beef & Kangaroo. You can even have a dessert if you've got enough room left - although their portions are hearty to say the least so don't bank on it.

Entertainment wise there is quite a lot going on. Live Sport from both ESPN & Sky Sports are shown permenently while the bar is open although commentary is turned off at night to provide a more club type atmosphere. They have loads of screens (including in the loos) & a large projector screen. They also regularly show live music too.

I like this bar. There are 3 of them just in South Yorkshire (the other two being Sheffield & Barnsley) & this is my favourite out of the three. Because of the open plan, the atmosphere isn't lost but the music isn't too loud. Hard to explain why other than this but it just feels more welcoming. Plus, as ever with this chain, the prices are very reasonable.

Summary: A really good place to go for a meal & a drink, or a night out.
