Advantages: Cheap drinks and value for money food

Disadvantages: Its part of a chain... so not very individual and similar to the others in the pub chain.

I have been to quite a few of the Walkabout bars in the chain and Plymouth is a good example. In fact its my second favourite losing out to the Lancaster bar!

Located on Derry's Cross in Plymouth town centre the bar is located next to a Revolution also.

During the day the bar is very pleasant its light ad airy and plenty of tables to eat food at or comfy sofa's to sit at and have some lunch time or afternoon drinks... trouble is once you are sat down you could be sat there all night the sofas are that comfortable!!

The bar itself offers pub food Australian style. Lots of burgers and grills. Kangaroo and Springbok are on the menu so if you are feeling adventurous give it a try. Food is priced very reasonably and there are offers on for a meal and a drink for £5. With offers like this however its always worth checking to see what times they run as often its on a lunch time or set days of the week.

There are also lots of screens and TV's around the bar so its an excellent place to watch live sport and caters well for sports fans... offering pitchers of lager and cider for approx £8 a pitcher (4pints).

On an evening the bar gets lively and plays a good mix of music. Drinks are priced well.. Bottles are around the £2.50 to £3.00 mark.

The toilets are also kept clean especially for a "late night venue"

A good bar and worth a visit!
