Wetherspoons Pubs - in general
Date: 19/05/12
Rating:
Advantages: very cheap
Disadvantages: dull boring and potential for hassle with pent up door staff.
The pub is cheap but the bouncers are power hungry and usually spoil the night by kicking out people on their second drink.
My advice is to stay clear of this place. Better to pay a little extra for a better time. An example of how poor the place is when i went i to the gents i stopped and searching by three bouncers for drugs!!! On what grounds?? Also when going out for a cig there is no guarantee of getting back in.
The bouncers think its ok to maul people and its only a matter of time before criminal charges will be brought against some of them.
Really rude and nasty door staff here. cant stress this enough. Best to walk round the corner to the wig and pen. lloyds up the road is also ok if funds are low. I hope the place closes down on two streets and be replaced with a decent place.
Summary: avoid like 50p lil.
