Disadvantages: During the daytime unless you go to the strippers or the pub theres not much to do

If you are planning a weekend away for a group of lads or lasses, whether its a stag, Hen party or just any excuse for a party, then you have just gotta go to Whitley Bay. What a party town this is. Full of fun pubs next to each other.. no long walks between bars giving the chance to sober up. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, vibrant and fun. The local Geordies are really friendly and they believe in having a real good time. There is a website called whitleybayexposed.com which gives you info about the bars and has photos taken in the pubs & clubs. So even if you don't believe me that Whitley Bay is the place to party, just go to whitleybayexposed and you can see for yourself. If like me your staying in Whitley Bay, all the B&B's are close by so you only have to stagger a little way home. I rate this town as really good for groups as there is no problem getting in to the pubs and clubs. You don't have to split up into small groups like you have to elsewhere in the UK. The doormen are great letting in groups of lads & I never seen any bother. The town is well policed so its safe to go out & you can relax and enjoy yourself.
