WHAT IS IT?
A holder for your drinks that fits onto your pram or pushchair, it is made by Bugaboo but will fit onto the frames of some other pushchairs.
HOW DO YOU USE IT?
You fix it to the frame of your pushchair and this is very easy to do because you have only to tighten the screw until the cup holder is secure. I use mine on a Quinny Buzz pushchair and it fits that because the shape of the frame is similar to a Bugaboo. The cup holder has got sides that are like fingers and they stretch out so that you can put different size drinks in it, it will hold all of the Starbucks and Costa coffee cups and I put my bottle of water into it sometimes also. If my daughter needs a drink while we are out I put her bottle of fruit juice in the cup holder to stop me from having to take my big changing bag just for one bottle.
WHAT I THINK
I like the design of this cup holder because it is made from very thick plastic and reminds me of a cafetiere when a cup is inside it. It holds my drink secure and that is a surprise because it has to be fitted on the side frame of the pushchair and it doesn't look like it is straight because of the way it hangs, I have never spilled a drink and because of there being a little bit of movement in the cup holder my drinks do not fall if I am pushing my daughter on ground that isn't level.
I use it a lot but it has been annoying me for the last few times because when I fold my pushchair down the cup holder has started falling off, it is easy to put back on but I do not know why it has started to do this because it didn't before and I have not changed how I fold the pushchair.
I think this cup holder is very useful and because it is made by Bugaboo it is very high quality and a lot better than the removable cup holder that came in a pack with my pushchair. The plastic is thick and that makes it secure and I am happy that it can be used on other makes of pushchair because not all of the Bugaboo accessories can. It is easy to clean even if I drip some of my coffee onto the plastic and all I have to do is wipe it with a wet cloth and there is never any residue or mess left.
This cup holder from Bugaboo costs about £14 and that is a lot of money but value still I think because it is useful and a lot better than other cup holders that I have tried.
4 Dooyoo Stars.
When pregnant I was given lots of baby hand downs for my son from my sister as she had not long had her son. I was ever so grateful as It can be so expensive buying everything so anything I got I was pleased to own. The item I am reviewing is the bugaboo cup holder.
The bugaboo cup holder can be bought from mother care or Cohn lewis for £14.95. I have also seen them on ebay selling for under £5.00 so its worth looking around for a fair price to pay.
As it was second hand I can not comment on packaging as it did not come with any. My bugaboo cup holder is black in colour and made from strong plastic. It has a nice smooth finish to it with no sharp edges. It is shaped like a large mug with a slot cut out of the front of it. It comes with several attachments to it so it should fit most push chairs.
I found it easy to attach to my sons push chair with the correct attachment, it clips on easy to the buggy and feels secure when on even with a bottle of water or juice in the holder. I found it very handy and has become a essential for me when out and about with my son. It save having to rake around my bag to find my sons juice cup or my water bottle, It saves putting it in the bottom of the buggy net and having to bend down for it. It slips in easy to the holder and is also easy to remove. It holds my latte from costa well and make my life a litte easier when out and about with two children and one in the buggy. I give it a wipe with a damp cloth when I find it looks grubby and it comes up nice and clean.
I do not think I would pay full price for the cup holder as its only made from plastic.
I have had many prams and pushchairs over the years as my children have been born but things are getting cuter and more practical. This time round as i knew this was going to be my last baby i really wanted the best of everything and in the past i had hand me downs or second hand items. My friend from mothers and toddlers highly recommended the Bugaboo pram stating it will be all i need as it does from birth to the age of three years and its the best pram on the market. I nearly died when i seen the price of the Bugaboo but managed to buy a second hand Bugaboo cameleon on ebay for a fraction of the price and in immaculate condition.
Bugaboo has so many extras to buy like the footmuff, umbrella, changing bag and the cup holder are the things i had to purchase separately.
Bugaboo cup holder cost £18.99 from the mothercare website. You can also purchase the cup holder from Amazon uk , John lewis, and Bugaboo themselves online.
Bugaboo cup holder is nothing fancy just a black plastic cradle shaped to take a cup or bottle that clips onto the frame of the Bugaboo pram. This is compatible with all Bugaboo prams not just the cameleon.
Bugaboo cup holder has a base on the bottom with a little 4cm lip that stops the cup sliding off and around the middle it has plastic arms to hold the cup or bottle in the holder but gives space to get the item out. On the top of the Bugaboo around the back is a small clamp that's made from plastic this pushes onto the frame but swivels to move the cup holder into the right position for you.
Bugaboo boo cup holder can take any size cups or bottles. I have used it with travel cups these tend to be big and thick and fit perfectly inside the cup holder. I don't always use the cup holder for myself if out in town ill put my daughters juice cup or bottle in so i have it at hand for her saves raking through my bag to find it.
The cup holder is held securely on the frame and holds all my cups fine even the take away cups from Macdonald's or Starbucks, any spillage tend to be from the cup being to full and walking on the rough pavements or bumping up down the kerbs so drink some out the cup before you start and alls well. It is easy to clean and can be washed down in soapy water and dried should you spill anything on the holder.
Bugaboo cup holder has been very useful for me when out shopping and walking, its been well used since i purchased it and would really miss it now i have had one.
Not a must buy products but definitely a handy one. I recommend the Bugaboo cup holder.
What a super idea - a cup holder that fits to the side of a buggy! This one is designed by Bugaboo and can fit onto certain other buggys. Although I dont have a Bugaboo anymore I do find it fits my Corcord Neo so I kept it.
I bought this product from Amazon with my Dooyoo vouchers. At £14.99 it isn't cheap but it is made by a premium brand company, Bugaboo. I do think you are paying a little for the name on this product although it is well designed and made.
This holder will fit a range of sized cups/bottles with changable sides that fit snug to anything you put in. The plastic is strong and of good quality. It certainly doesn't look cheap on the side of your buggy.
The design is such that the cup holder can swivel to face you or child. I use it to hold a bottle of water for myself. This is very useful when going to the park or shopping. I got sick of digging through the basket at the bottom of the buggy for my water so this was an ideal purchase for myself.
The swivel mechanism seems well made and doesnt twist when you go over a bump or up a kerb. I can see cheaper options being less well made and this becoming a problem after a few months use. I have used this product for over 8 months now and am very pleased with it.
So far I have only seen these in black but Im sure you can get these from other companies (for less money) in a range of colours.
Overall I like this product but it is a tad expensive for what it is. For this reason I can only give it 4 stars.
My daughter likes to travel in style and so I push a Bugaboo Chameleon and one of the "optional extras" I bought for it was the detacheable cupholder. It's said that in The USA a car actually sells better if it has multiple cup holders or space for cupholders and I have to say that the option to have one of these on my buggy was something I could not pass up.
I walk a lot with the pushchair, sometimes miles at a time. Partly this is for exercise and partly just to give my daughter and I some time outside and so I always carry a drink with me, be it a bottle of water or coffee, etc. Instead of putting a bottle of water in my bag or in the nappy bag where it's hard to get ahold of I can now put it in the cupholder and have instant access to it. This makes it very easy to always drink water which is good for hydration and good for the soul too I feel. Also I think this cupholder is essential when you go out and purchase coffee or tea. I often do this with all my mummy friend, stop for coffee, it's generally a daily activity and as such I need somewhere I can keep it without it spilling and causing a mess. Of course if you buy a coffee and then need to walk with the pushchair you find out it's very hard to have something in one hard and try and push with the other hand. With the cupholder, it's easy, you stick it in and then can push, hands free to your hearts content.
The cupholder itself is plastic and round. It is solid in the bottom but around the sides it has plastic wings that give a little and open wider so if you have a large cup it will slot in and then be held quite securely. I find that cup from the major coffee houses such as Starbucks and Costa do fit in the cup holder as do water bottles as well. Unfortunately if your cup is too full the contents will spill a little as when you are pushing a buggy over rough terrain it bumps up and down a bit but the cup will never fall out of the cup holder which is nice.
The cup holder has a plastic attachment that swivels around a bit so you can move the cup holder up and down. It attaches to the lower or the higher part of all Bugaboo strollers so works with whatever model you have. You can buy the cup holder in places like John Lewis or direct from the Bugaboo website. It costs £14.95 and in my opinion is one optional extra worth getting!
Bugaboo / stroller attachment.
