Advantages: lovely pictures - nice size pieces - good quality
Disadvantages: none
When my youngest son was born my three year old daughter received lots of gifts from friends and relatives. One of those gifts was this set of four Disney Princess Jigsaw Puzzles.
At that time my daughter had just started to become interested in all things girly and pink and princesses in particular so it was a lovely girt for her.
You get four puzzles in the box each has a different number of pieces. Each puzzle shows a different picture of one or more of the Disney Princesses. The puzzle pieces are made of card but are not chunky or thicker than normal puzzle pieces. The backs of the puzzles are all the same and I found it saved time when sorting to mark each one differently so we could tell the pieces of each puzzle apart more easily.
The first puzzle has twelve pieces and is a picture is Cinderella and Prince Charming dancing in the grounds of the castle.
The second puzzle has 16 pieces and shows Ariel from The Little Mermaid dreaming of Eric.
The third puzzle has 20 pieces and shows Snow White dancing with the Seven Dwarfs.
The forth and last puzzle shows Belle and the Beast, Snow White and her Prince, Cinderella and Prince Charming and Sleeping Beauty and her Prince dancing at a ball.
All the puzzles when made up are the same size and can be made inside the box.
The puzzles are made by Ravensburger who are well known puzzle manufacturers. We also have other princes puzzles from the Ravensburger range and they are all lovely and very popular.
Our daughter loves these puzzles and they are often pulled out when we are having play time together. When she first received the puzzles she did need help with the 20 and 24 piece puzzles but managed on her own with the bigger pieces.
The puzzles are very nice quality as you would expect from Ravensburger and have lasted well. My daughter is now five and the puzzles are still in excellent condition and have not bent or broken.
I think this set of puzzles is currently available on www.amazon.co.uk for £6.99 and there is another set of four princess puzzles featuring the same four princesses for £5.99. To me this is really good value as you get four puzzles for less than you can pay for one.
I would recommend these to anyone with a little girl who loves anything princess or girly. The recommended age range is 3+ and I would tend to agree with that but it would depend on the abilities of your child.
Summary: a lovely selection of jigsaws for a very reasonable price
