“ Brand: Ravensburger / Age: Junior „
Jigsaw puzzles have always been popular in my house and we got bought 2 of these ones a few years ago. We gave one to my mum to keep up at her house and the other one was quickly opened and set upon with excitment!
The jigsaw is by Ravensburger and contains 6 Winnie The Pooh jigsaws. Each jigsaw is a different size and has different amounts of pieces.
The jigsaws are all brightly coloured and have images on them depicting different weather. They are lovely images and there is good detail on them.
The first puzzle has 4 pieces and is Pooh and Tigger on a windy day.
The 6 piece puzzle is of the group ice skating.
The 9 piece is of Pooh and Piglet chasing a butterfly in summer.
The 12 piece is Pooh riding on Eyeore when it is raining.
The 16 piece is of Tigger stuck in a tree on a cloudy day.
The 20 piece is of all the characters celebrating Poohs birthday.
Each puzzle comes in a plastic bag so they can be kept separate and not get mixed up. However, each puzzle has pieces of different sizes so they are easily sorted if they do get muddled.
The great thing about these puzzles is that each puzzle has a different amunt of pieces. This means that you can start off on the easiest 4 piece and then work your way upto the 20 piece. The variety of puzzles mean that there is plenty of choice and if you have more than one child then it is ideal for sharing!
The age range for this is 3 years and up but I think this is far too old. My son has been doing the 4 and 6 pieces since he was 2 years old. The larger piece ones were a bit more tricky for him but the 4 and 6 were ideal for his age.
Jigsaws are a great way at practicing your concentration skills and the kids get a real sense of acheivement when they have completed them. It helps them to fine tune their motor skills and also teaches them patience.
These jigsaws are great as a gift and are very popular in our house!
Winnie the Pooh - 6 in a box puzzle
I have always felt that puzzles are not only a good source of education in the fact that they teach the children co-ordination, working together and such, they also (most of the time) calm the child down.
One of the many puzzles in our house includes this Winnie the Pooh puzzle box which contains 6 different puzzles. The RRP is a little steaper than a lot of puzzles at £9.99 though I have seen these on Ebay for £5.99 which is a little better.
The puzzle is aimed at children three years plus and each puzzle has a different number of pieces to grow with the age of the child. Each puzzle piece is quite small and so at first three year olds may need a lot of help.
The puzzles like many of this kind are very bright and colourful and have some beautiful pictures of Pooh and his friends. Our little one loves putting them together and we even had one framed and put on their bedroom wall as it was so nice!
Suitable for ages 4+
