Hyper Hammer 6.3
by Idiotic_Table Iīm not that regular a tennis player, but I decided to get this racket several years ago now, and Iīm glad I made the purchase, even if I donīt use it that much now. It has made a big difference to the quality of my game, I think, and has lasted really well - apart from a few minor scratches and scrapes, it works just as well as it did ... when I bought it and looks pretty new. Although the racketīs extremely tough and hard-wearing, itīs also very light. I have tried other rackets that are lighter, but this for me is the right weight - I like to feel like Iīve got something in my hand without it being too flyaway or too heavy to swing comfortably. I find that this weight is just right - I can whip it easily through the air and can generate a lot of power and good follow-through. I feel like my forehand has become stronger and more accurate since I bought this, although maybe this is just a mental effect of knowing Iīm using a better racket. For between fifty and a hundred pounds, the Hammer range of rackets arenīt the most expensive out there, but they are better than the cheaper rackets, and you can tell the difference in the way that they play and look. Thereīs never been any serious damage to the product whilst Iīve used it, and all the details are of a high quality - the grip is good, the frame feels sturdy, the strings are nice. Overall, this is an excellent product, and while Iīm no expert at tennis, this feels like a good amateurīs racket. I would recommend it. Read the complete review |

Butterfly Table Tennis Table Top
by lak11 I love table tennis. All the family do. We're not great at it or anything, but it proves always to be a laugh and, as well as being good fun it is a pastime that all the family can enjoy. For myself, I can't participate in many sports and have never been very good at them anyway, but I'm not too bad at table tennis. Well, to qualify that ... I wouldn't be entering any tournaments or anything but, I can serve, keep score and hit the ball onto the table. Sometimes I manage a good shot here and there. Table tennis with my family is usually only a thing that we play on holiday when a table is provided. We have found a couple of pub beer gardens that supply a table so then may have a game or two. In fact, I probably play a little better in a beer garden, as long as I don't have an audience, as that does tend to put me off my stroke! I really wanted to buy a 'proper' full sized table but hubby, and I suppose he WAS right, said we haven't the room inside and an outdoor table wouldn't last long if left to face the elements. He said we couldn't fit another thing into the garage, not even a car! I looked on the internet just before last Christmas, to see if I could find anything, just to get us all up and doing something physical rather than vegetating. I found this,' Butterfly Table Tennis Table Top.' The size was in metric but I figured it was six foot long. This isn't a full sized table, which I think would be more like nine foot in length, but I haven't room for a full size table in my home anyway. Looking at the specifications of this table it seemed to me that it would provide some fun for my family, and extended family, over the Christmas period. The thing I best liked about it was the fact that it fits over a normal dining table and the two pieces that it's made up of, simply slot together so, when you want to eat, simply take it apart and stack it away. I decided to buy this as a general present for all the family. On Christmas day it was wrapped up ready for just before dinner when all my children were present. No one guessed what was inside the wrapping paper but, when all was revealed they looked suitably impressed. One of my sons remarked that, along with the dartboard he had received last year, we should really think of a games room. He wishes! When dinner had been cleared, and in the time before tea and naps, the table top was quickly set up on top of the dining table. Two bats and three ping pong balls were included but I had bought extra as I know the balls don't often last long and I wanted extra bats so we could attempt to play doubles. I issued warnings that the table needed to be moved out a little as I was worried, about one of my sons in particular, putting heart and soul into winning, and smashing through my glass display cabinet! Anyway, they played for awhile, everyone played a game and no damage was done. More family arrived for Christmas tea and presents and after this the table top tennis came out again. All seemed to really enjoy having a game. I think this table tennis table top is a good idea if you don't have the room for a full sized, or even a smaller table, as even a smaller table takes up a lot of room when folded. When not in use this can be put behind a bed, or under a bed, as it is in two halves. These don't take up too much room, being thin. This can give a good introduction to the game for the novice or, as in our case, be a provider of an exercise that is fun for all the family, whatever their standard. The table tennis table top is available from several outlets, including, www.argos.co.uk and www.milletsports.co.uk at the same price of, Ģ54.99. There will usually be a small delivery charge to add unless you are lucky enough to find an offer. In the case of Argos, I know that this is an exclusive on-line purchase and will not be shown in their paper catalogue. I have found their delivery service, in the past to be quite reliable. Details as taken from the Argos website: This product lays on top of a table, turning a dining table or desk into a table tennis table. It is delivered ready for use and includes a Clip net and post set, 2 sponge bats and 3 balls. Size (H)180, (W)90, (D)2.5cm. Read the complete review |

Yonex Mavis Plastic Shuttlecocks
by teh-arn I was reccomended these by a friend i play badminton with, the main problem i had was that whenever i played with the feather shuttlecocks they became broken and bent. This meant that they would not fly correctly and were unusable. I ended up binning them (Even thought they were more expensive) and picked up a set of ... these. They fly in the same way as the feather ones but unlike the feather ones that fly fast then slow down, these stay at a constant speed more or less. they are also very easy to see, like most white shuttle cocks. They are very durable, i have been using these for weeks now and they have held up pretty well, none have ended up breaking or falling apart so ive got no problems there. They are also cheaper then getting the feather ones and last a longer time so they are great value for money. Pros; - Easy to transport - Durable - Very good to use - Cheap - Do what you need them to do Cons; - Get dirty easily (makes them harder to see) - Will end up bent and unusable if not stored or put away correctly.
