“ Manufacturer: Butterfly / Type: Table tennis „
The idea behind this invention is the ability to take a ping pong table with you... anywhere. The idea is simple, have a net, which attached to these 2 clamps, that have poles sticking out. You somply clamp the two clamps to a table, and stretch the net over the top, and hey presto, instead ping pong table. Sadly though, for 25 odd quid, the effect does wear a little thin.
First off, my friend has developed his own system, using 2 clamps from B and Q (which together cost him about a tenner, and he can use for actually clamping in DIY projects), and he then just carries masking tape to form a "net". This may sound crazy, but honestly it works better than this thing, because for this you need a table of a certain width for it to really work properly. The only table that this seems tow ork on is a table tennis table... and if you have one of these well... why would you want one of these kits? Unless your own net broke perhaps?
The next problem is that these nets go on tables... but honestly how many times can you stick one of these to a table, and just start playing? I dunno, I bought this, used it once, and never used it again. I am just glad I was able to return it.
As for quality of materials, it doesn't warrant the price. For nearly 30 quid, there are other similar devices out there, and I would even recommend doing what my friend does!
Overall then, I kinda think this is a waste of time. Unless unknown to me you need it for an actual table tennis table (my friend has one, the same friend with the duct tape, but I don't think his net comes off? Please comment if you know more about this!).
I am not really sure who this is for, its kinda a bit pointless really.
