Tennis is fun to play and unless we carry on using the public courts, the council will turn them into basketball courts. The equipment you need is cheap to buy, you can get balls for less than a pound each and this racket which is endorsed by our current tennis super star is at a bargain price!
==Price and availability==
Currently this costs £14.99 from Amazon but I paid full price at the beginning of the year for £35.00. I guess it is coming out of season so they will be selling them off. A good time to buy new kit!
The racket I have has a grip size of L2 which is suitable for a small man, woman or youth. It has an unstrung weight of 270 g and has a head size of 107 sq inches. The frame is made from titanium alloy for lightness but this does not make it the most durable of metals. I have scraped it across the ground, by accident and it has really damaged the frame. The strings are made from plastic and there is a thin zip up bag to store it in which makes you feel quite the professional!
The racket was bought because the last one I had, had bust strings. This one looks really good with a red finish and white handle. The handle is spongy and has a really good grip and it is also the perfect size. The racket feels good in my hand and it is like an extension of my arm, I feel really comfortably using it which helps my performance. I find the strings bounce and it makes a lovely noise when the ball makes contact and sails back over the net. It took me a while to get used to the feel of it and kept faulting my serve as the ball sailed out the court. It has a lot of power to it but you have to learn how to control it otherwise it will work against you. The only downside to it are the lovely scratches at the top of the frame which feel rough to touch, it is like the metal has peeled off a bit and could do with sanding down. I should get some wire wool to rub over it. Despite this, I love it and I enjoy using it. I am getting better at playing tennis and with a racket such as this you can really learn how to backhand and serve well. I always return my racket into the bag to store it securely and protect the strings so I am glad it came with this. Overall, a great but especially for the current price.
