OCZ Gold XTC Triple Channel Kit 3 x 2 GB DDR3 1600 MHz ... several memory intensive programmes open (Photoshop, Internet, Music, Video) I noticed no slowing in the response of the system at all. Games perform flawlessly, Crysis and Far Cry2 are 100% smooth and even FSX, a game known for it s poor frame rates and high levels of stuttering, now runs 100% smooth. A word of warning though: The RAM will automatically set to a voltage of 1.9V, but anything OVER 1.45V can damage an Intel Core i7 CPU PERMENANTLY! So you will need to manually change the voltage level in the BIOS settings to avoid damage. It is still perfectly stable at 1.45V Quality: The RAM feels very well built, and the heatsink means you don t feel afraid forci... Kingston ValueRAM 1 GB DDR 266 MHz ... might look at something which is a cheaper alternative and think it s great at first but then so you ll have doubts because you think that, since it s so cheap then there must be something wrong with it. Let me assure you, this is NOT true of Kingston ValueRAM. I ve built a few computers in my time and I ve always used Kingston ValueRAM. It costs me much less and does an excellent job. In fact, the computer that I m using to write this review has 2GB of Kingston ValueRAM in it right now. Installing it is easy. You simply slot it in to the right place on your motherboard and you re done. It s as simple as that (though that s ALL RAM, not just Kingston). There s not... OCZ ReaperX HPC Enhanced Bandwidth Dual Channel 2 x 2 GB DDR II 800 MHz ... building a new pc main pc for myself recently I pondered on the benefits of faster memory but got drawn into a situation which made my mind up for me... Pc world were selling 4GB of OCZ Reaper X memory in the form of 2 x 2GB modules. Seeing as Reaper X is OCZ s best generic desktop memory, I thought this would be a worthy purchase for my beastly machine. I stepped into Pc World and ended up in a rush and bought the 800mhz version. At first glance the 1066mhz was too expensive... I wouldn t normally buy computer components from Pc World but I was planning to build the pc immediate and couldn t wait. When I got home I found the box to be badly damaged, the heatsink ...
