Kingston has some good range of DDR2 RAMs and they are most popular in computer market. I have discussed earlier some of DDR3 RAMs from Kingston with high speed performance. But ... Kingston ValueRAM 2 x 1 GB DDR II 800 MHz ... i will start by saying that im not going to go on about the history of the company and its roots as that doesn t really have much to do with the product. All you need to know is that Kingston have built up a reputation for making ram that work forever. Okay this ram is not exactly what you d call performance ram. I got this ram to save money as ram does make a difference in performance, but not that much. Kingston ram tends to work on any mother board as long as the mother board supports the ddr and speed, where as other makes can be very difficult if you try them in dual channel. Kingston remain the easiest so us and set up and this model is no accept, i whacke... Read the full review: Kingstons basic ram by Tom_C |

Crucial 1 GB DDR II 1066 MHz ... used the crucial system tool to tell me exactly what type of ram i needed, it was brilliant, i just downloaded the program, ran it and it came up with how many slots i had for ram and how much the maximum ram i could put in it with all the details and all the options of what i could buy, the max my computer could take was an extra GB so I bought this in addition to my weasly 256MB and put it in. getting the case off my Sony Vaio proved to be a bit more challenging with the numerous spring loaded clips but i persisted and got it off. i slotted in the ram (Always seek professional help if you don t know what you re doing please - you can get electrocuted!) and put the PC ... Corsair XMS2 Xtreme Performance 1 GB DDR II 800 MHz ... like I was, you re looking for some new RAM for your PC, and are thinking "Oh, I ll get any type, it s only RAM", then you need to think again. I decided to go for it and buy some high quality gaming RAM instead of the cheap unbranded stuff you find around (I say cheap, this was only £10 per GB, not a bad deal), and my god did it make a difference! I went from 2GB for eBuyer value RAM, to 4 of these 1GB sticks, and the difference in performance is amazing. Definitely the best "Cost:Performance" ratio you can get on a PC. Although the 800Mhz DDRII RAM may not be at the forefront of technology with the recent release of DDR3, it is still the most ...
