Kingstons basic ram (Kingston ValueRAM 2 x 1 GB DDR II 800 MHz)
Member Name: Tom_C
Advantages: will work no matter what Disadvantages: no the fastest on the market Okay i will start by saying that im not going to go on about the history of the company and its roots as that doesn't really have much to do with the product. All you need to know is that Kingston have built up a reputation for making ram that work forever. Okay this ram is not exactly what you'd call performance ram. I got this ram to save money as ram does make a difference in performance, but not that much. Kingston ram tends to work on any mother board as long as the mother board supports the ddr and speed, where as other makes can be very difficult if you try them in dual channel. Kingston remain the easiest so us and set up and this model is no accept, i whacked it straight into dual channel and they have worked perfectly from the word go. Also if you know what your doing when overclocking ram they aren't that bad at it. They hold their own against others in their class so i would definitely advice this ram if it is in the price range you are looking for. Summary: The kind of ram you really can't go wrong with
