      Kingston ValueRAM 2 x 2 GB

I needed some cheap RAM which was compatible with the rest of my computer system yet preformed well with snappy responce. My local computer shop CCL recommened me 4GB Kingston ValueRAM.

It consists of two, 2GB sticks and with Kingston been a known a reputable brand I was quite confident that even though they were a budget product it would tick all my boxes.

Firstly I'll explain a little about what RAM is and does. Basically it is temperary memory storage on your computer. It is short for Random Access Memory and all data stored is deleted upon turning the computer off. The DDR stands for Double Data Rate and basically makes "higher transfer rates possible by more strict control of the timing of the electrical data and clock signals".Obivously DDR3 is quicker than DDR2, which is quicker than DDR1. The amount of GB, 4 in this case, is how much information the RAM can hold. Genrally the high the amount of RAM the quicker, and the more applications you can run on your pc at any one time.

This particular RAM has 240 pins, so make sure it is compatible with other parts of your computer system. It is gold plated meaning supperior connections, quicker and clearer. With its 4GB total, it has made my computer very snappy and quick loading. All my games and software work instantly almost and this will run almost any game on the market. This Kinston RAM runs at 1333 MHz but I beleive can be purchased at differnt speeds. You need to make sure the MHz you purchase is compatible with your motherboard, else you could have few explosions on your hands!

I personally didn't install this into my computer but the enginer found it simple enough and had no issues.

After paying £75 for this a few weeks ago from CCL I feel I have got a good buy as it gives me a high performance at a budget price.
