Advantages: None for me.

Disadvantages: Poor tasting, poor quality, too much sauce and not enough chips.

This is a review of something I would never buy and the review will spell out exactly why I would never buy it, the only reason I came to try this is because I was babysitting for my grandkids at my daughters house.

The product in question is a frozen chips and curry sauce ready meal from Asda, it is of course found in the freezer section of Asdas and my daughter tells me that she paid £1 for it and it can also be bought as part of their five for £4 deal.

The product can be cooked by either popping it in the microwave or oven cooking it, I chose the oven option as I am not a lover of cooking with a microwave but to be honest I doubt it would matter how you cooked this it would still be the very same poor result.

The chips are hard at bits and soggy at others and the sauce was a very peppery tasting sauce with a hint of curry powder, it tasted little or nothing like the curry sauces you will be used to from your Chinese takeaways.

The snack is also very bad for you as most pre-packed processed meals like this are, the portion had 540 calories and 24.8g of fat and there isn't exactly a lot to it, I would estimate this to be about half of what you would get from a takeaway portion of chips and curry sauce.

There is much more sauce than is needed for the amount of chips you get and I have to say I was even more disappointed with this snack than I had first thought I would be. I certainly would not recommend this in fact I would go as far as to say I would urge people not to buy it.

Summary: Give this a wide berth.
