      Disadvantages

      Overall, a great, tasty meal.

The Asda Deep Pan 10" has actually changed its packaging recently, meaning the picture shown is outdated, however, that doesnt stop the food from being the way it is.

Firstly, the new packaging does it a lot of justice. It looks succulent and very fulfilling on the box, but as with many, it could be it looks better on the box than when you have cooked it. Asda is an exception.

Once you've bought the Pizza, ranging at £1.50 each, or three for £4, and you have got home, to the cooker and unpacked the shopping bag with the pizza in, from the picture, youll be ripping the Pizza out of the box.

Once you have it out of the box, it already looks great. The Pizza is thick, although it looks slightly smaller than 10". The toppings are taken from the very best Asda has to offer, and is arranged in a deliciously looking way. So, get it cooked.

20 Minutes later, on 200° (I usually leave it 25 Mins on an electric cooker, second shelf) your pizza will be ready. Cooked from frozen. You will know its close to being done, because it will fill your home with an aroma of the selected flavour, of which there are about five.

The first problem I have is that there is some slight excess water from the frozen stance it was previously at. This may drip off with a few drips, or you can simply cut it into quarters and put it back in the Oven for 5 Minutes.

Now, the taste test. Mmmmm... This is quite possibly the closest you will come to a professionally made Pizza. Its budget is superb for the ingredients, and for a fairly skinny nearly-23 Year Old, this does me for one meal. But the taste is sublime. It is absolutely superb. The chicken is succulent, the peppers are tangy and the cheese is of the highest quality... and stringy... like it should be. The tomato puree isnt the best, but compliments the ingredients well.

After 10 or 15 Minutes of scoffing the thing down, there is an element of fulfillment. And you had all of that for under £2. Theres nothing else can be said.

Good value, tasty, meal for a lazy night in.

We all get those lazy days where you just cant be bothered to slave for hours in front of the cooker, and this is when I normally dig in the deep freezer, and grab something quick and easy such as this Asda Deep Pan 10" Sweet BBQ Chicken Pizza.

It retails at Asda for £2.38, or if you are lucky and they have one of their specials, you can get two for £4.00, which is really great value.

The pizza is deep pan, loaded with chunky chicken pieces, sweet BBQ sauce, mozzarella cheese, and red and yellow peppers. The base is thick, but not too "doughy" as it tend to be sometimes.

It bakes in the oven for about 12 minutes, and can serve 2people, but probably would need a little salad as well, especially if it is a main meal.

      The ingredients are:
Wheat Flour, Water, Mozzarella Cheese (15%) (milk) [potato Starch], Barbecue Flavour Chicken (8%) [chicken Breast (78%) (brown Sugar, Vinegar, Tomato Paste, Onion, Olive Oil, Bbq Flavour [soya Sauce Powder, Colour (paprika Extract), Wheat)], Seasoning Sauce [vinegar, Soya Sauce Powder, Sugar, Salt, Chilli, Spices], Saly, Smoke Flavour, Modified Tapioca Starch, Tomato Flavour (milk) (lactose), Chilli Powder, Lactic Acid, Colour (paprika Extract), Stabiliser (xanthan Gum)], Peppers (8%), Tomato Puree (3%), Crushed Tomato (2%), Yeast, Vegetable Oil and Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Modified Maize Starch, Dextrose, Molasses, Sugar, Salt, Flavourings, Garlic Puree, Emulsifiers (soya Lecithin, Sodium Stearoyl-2 Lactylate, Mono and Diglycerides Of Fatty Acids), Herbs (basil, Oregano, parsley, Thyme), Spices (black Pepper, Coriander), Citric Acid, Chilli Powder, Flour Treatment Agent (ascrobic Acid).

It contains no artificial colours, which is good, but as would be expected it is not exactly good on the waistline, with 102kcal per 100g. Well, it IS pizza!

It tasted quite good, and I liked the sweetness of the BBQ sauce, with the hint of pepperyness due to the red and yellow peppers. It was however not as loaded as the picture on the box, which is a bit disappointing!

Overall, a good product, and a nice filler for those lazy nights, at a very reasonable price.
