      Disadvantages

Gorgeous, moist, tasty chick chick chicken!

When I spotted these in Asda in the freezer section on offer from £2.00 a bag reduced to £1.00 a bag I couldn't resist buying a couple of bags of them and stocking up my freezer a little bit. I love chicken, especially the seasoned variety and couldn't wait to get stuck into them with gusto!

      The Packaging:

The chicken thighs come in a green and black plastic bag and on the front of the bag there is a photograph of the cooked chicken thighs and I am told that they are Asda Garlic And Herb Chicken Thighs 'BBQ from frozen' and that the weight of them is 550g, there is an at a glance nutritional chart on there, I'm also told that they contain no artificial colours, flavours or hydrogenated fat and there is a best before date clearly displayed. On the back of the bag other information given includes being told how to cook them, ingredients and a full nutritional chart is stated as are storage details and contact details for Asda given. Nice bag though you there is no where to reseal it so your left to your own devices on that score.

      The Chicken Thighs:

Well in the two bags I got a different number of portions so you have to bear in mind that you are sold these in weight. I got 6 portions in one bag 7 in another. All of them came frozen and all you do to cook them is pop them on the BBQ for about 30-35 minutes (from frozen of course) or you can oven cook them (As I did) in around the same time.

When cooked these are simply great for us chicken fans. Big, fat thighs with skin on that doesn't go crispy as such because of the marinade they are coated with. They look great going a golden colour with speckles of green herbs on them and all that is left to do is eat them!

I thoroughly enjoyed these. The chicken is great quality and natural rather than processed. It's moist and juicy and well seasoned and I appreciated them being rather meaty and hefty. The coating is delicious too tasting slightly of garlic and herb and with a hint of lemon to them. You can really taste the rosemary on these along with the the lemon and for me these are simply finger licking good and I love them!
