      Yummy

Whenever I go to Asda I have a look at their Good For You range, which includes various ready meals that are all low or lower in fat than the usual versions. Last time I went I noticed that they were running a 3 for £4 offer on the ready meals and so I picked up three: a seafood paella which I have already reviewed, a Chicken Sizzler meal which I will review soon, and this chicken enchiladas pack. This pack normally costs around £2.50 so when on offer it is a bit of a bargain. It contains two enchiladas and it is recommended that this provides two portions, i.e. one enchilada each. Most of the Good For You meals are only for one person so the fact that this is enough to feed two makes it even better value. The enchiladas come in a plastic tray covered in cellophane, inside a recyclable cardboard box. They can be frozen if desired and conveniently they can be cooked either from frozen or chilled, so there's no need to defrost them first. They are cooked in the plastic tray and you need to put them in the oven for about half an hour. They don't even need turning so they are very easy to cook. Once cooked I had a bit of a problem getting these enchiladas out of the tray as they had stuck to the bottom a bit which was a bit of a pain, however I eventually got them out and they only collapsed a little bit! Each enchilada is very large and takes up almost half of a dinner plate. I filled the rest of my plate with salad and a piece of garlic bread which both served as lovely accompaniments. The enchiladas tasted really nice. The tortilla wrap was crispy on top but lovely and gooey and soft on the bottom, and the filling was impressive with spicy sauce, kidney beans and some tender, large strips of chicken. I thought they might scrimp on them chicken but there was enough there for most appetites. The only thing that was a little lacking was the amount of cheese on top of the enchiladas, as I would have quite liked a little bit more as there is really only a sprinkling. I thought these made a really nice, quick meal and if you like this sort of spicy Mexican food then you will really enjoy them. The nutritional values are excellent too, with each enchilada containing only 266 calories, 7 grams of sugar, 6.3 grams of fat and 2.5 grams of saturated fat. Each half a pack also contains one of your five a day which is excellent news! I will definitely buy these again and I hope that Asda keep producing them!
