“ Brand: Asda / Type: Pancakes „
Pancakes are a thing I love to make myself and I have to say mine are rather good, my wife loves pancakes but is always on about putting on weight and when she saw these good for you pancakes in asda she thought she would give them a go.
So after me giving her a hard time for buying pancakes when mine are so good (even if I do say so myself), I finally agreed to have one with her and I got the last laugh because these were not only not as good as mine they were pretty much the worst pancakes I have tried and my wife agreed.
The pancakes were very dry and even though I like my pancakes warm and with lots of butter, they were still very dry after heating for a few seconds in the microwave and smothering with butter, so god only knows how dry my wife's must have been with just a skimming of jam on them.
These pancakes should you wish to try them cost 46p for a pack of six, as for them being good for you well make up your own mind... Each pancake has 73 calories, 0.8g of fat and 14g of carbohydrate, this to me doesn't exactly scream good for you but I guess it is slightly better than full fat pancakes.
Unless you really are sticking to a diet then I certainly wouldn't recommend these and even if you are trying to stick to a diet I would suggest you just forget about pancakes rather than eating these because they really are not very good.

Since Shrove Tuesday last week I have redeveloped my loves of pancakes, which is something that happens each and every year. These are not the typical pancakes I would normally eat around this time but I have been enjoying trying 'scotch' pancakes.
Asda Good For You Pancakes are available in a pack of 6 for 46p and are currently on a multibuy offer at 2 packs for 70p and can be combined with other similar bakery products, such as crumpets.
They are only available at Asda stores or www.asda.com.
2 panccakes provide 146 calories, 4.1g protein, 28.6g carbs and 1.6g fat
The wrapper suggests serving these pancakes with fresh fruit and natural yoghurt. I tried this idea but was not overly keen I have to say, they just went a bit soggy.
I toast mine (although the heating guidelines on the packet suggest grilling them), as toasting is the easiest thing to do. I also smoother mine in butter and serve them with sultanas and some maple syrup and they are delicious this way.
These are a thoroughly enjoyable pancake. They are versatile and can be served an eaten in many different ways. They have slightly better nutritional values to other pancakes I have tried, although they are also slightly smaller.
They are around 6-8mm thick and round flat discs. They are quite sweet and taste, to me, like a sponge cake. They would be delicious covered with jam also.
My little boy has tried these too and seems to really enjoy them and takes them off my plate. The cheek!!
I would buy again while they are on a good price offer, but I will probably not remain loyal after that.
