Nice quality and easy to cook chicken

When it comes to chicken its something I have rather often and so when I spotted these in Asda the other night and being called Hot & Spicy I decided to give them a try cos at 4 fillets costing only £2.00 I thought that offered great value for money as well as sounding my kind of food!

      The Packaging:

Two sides of the box are yellow in colour and on both of those sides we are told that they are Asda 'Chosen By You', BBQ Favourites 4 Hot & Spicy Chicken Breast Fillets 'Skinless chicken breast fillets in a hot and spicy marinade. Cook from frozen' and that they weigh 320g in total, contain no artificial colours, flavours or hydrogenated fat and there is an at a glance nutritional chart shown. Other information on the other sides of the box includes ingredients and allergy advice being given as well as a full nutritional chart listed as well as cooking instructions and contact details for Asda are given. Nice enough packaging that is and also its informative enough too.

      The Chicken Itself:

Well what you get is four rather thick and misshaped looking chicken breasts with like a pinky coloured coating on them which is even and to cook them you simply do so from Frauen in about 20 minutes (or you can bbq them in about 10 minute if you prefer) and the coating just gives a nice reddish glaze to the chicken which is slightly sticky and smells a little garlicky and goes a little golden as it cooks too.

What you get is nice skinless, boneless moist chicken and a large portion per serving of it too. Its tasty and well seasoned and cooked well in the time stated on the packaging and then the outside is flavoured with lots of bits and pieces including chilli, paprika, tomato spices and isn't oily/greasy at all but does give a nice subtle heat to the chicken though not too much so it burns your mouth out! So hot & spicy as they are called may be a little misleading if you expect hot and/or spicy as such. think subtle in flavours!

This is really tasty, ungristly or fatty chicken. I was impressed with no bones and impressed with the tasty flavour of the tangy chilli and tomato subtly going on too and all in all think this is great quality finger licking chicken!
