Toad in the hole is a nice comforting winter food and one of my favourites. The only problem is I hate cooking with raw meat and don't like to handle meat products at all. I spotted this Toad in the Hole in Tesco for just £1.00 and thought it would solve my problem! It's part of the Aunt Bessie's range and usually costs £1.37 but I bought it on special offer. Aunt Bessie says: "Ready to bake. Aunt Bessie adds two thick pork sausages to her tasty crisp Yorkshire pudding for her delicious Toad in the Hole. Aunt Bessie's Toad in the Hole is ready to bake at home. Great served any day of the week." This comes ready made and frozen so I popped ... Read the complete review

I have been buying many aunt bessie products recently, I don't usually buy much frozen food, but aunt bessies stuff is really nice and I have been impressed with everything I have bought so far. I was looking for a quick and easy meal the other day in tescos, and I really didn't want to cook, and when I saw this aunt bessie toad in the hole I thought it would be perfect with some tescos finest mash, as you just shove the toad in the hole in the oven, the mash in the microwave and I wouldn't have to make much of an effort to cook! I paid around £1.40 for this toad in the hole, which I thought was expensive really as it wouldn't feed both me and my boyfriend as ... Read the complete review

I am a big fan of home cooking and my children always enjoy everything that I make, however, there are times when I don't always have lots of time to make delicious home cooked food so I like to have something in the freezer for times when we have a bit of a rush on or we are pressed for time. One of the meals that I know my children like is this Aunt Bessies toad in the hole. It's very simple for me to just pick a few of these up at shopping and I usually buy them when they are reduced to £1 each as it's fairly cheap with 3 bigger children to feed and then one for my husband and I, almost as cheap as making a toad in the hole from scratch. I like the odd Toad in the Hole, but often I find that some makes can come out pretty greasy. I like the odd bit grease with my food, but not if it is swimming in it. We have been buying a few things from the Aunt Bessies range recently, as it seems to be nice enough food, so i'm going to review a few of the things. I got this in Asda where it was on offer for £1. Recently Asda has been doing a good promotion where most of the frozen food that costs £1 is also 4 for £3, so we picked up a few new things to try. I think the right price of this is around £1.50. Seems a bit expensive for a 400g frozen ready meal. The meal is in a little foil tray that ... Read the complete review

I am a fan of Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire Puddings, which taste great and are so easy to make if you only want a couple rather than enough to feed an army if your making them for yourself. I spotted these toad in the holes in Asda on offer at £1 so picked up a couple of boxes to have something different in the freezer for those I fancy something different nights. They come in the usual blue Aunt Bessie packagaing but instead of the plastic bags for the yorkshire puddings etc they come in a cardboard box. Inside the box you will find a foil tray containging the batter mix with two sausages in the middle and a plastic film over the top. The instructions ... Read the complete review
