Advantages: quick and easy to prepare
Disadvantages: not very healthy
Well, I have just finished eating one of these for my lunch! I have also tried some of the other flavours (Mild Cheese and Broccoli and Tomato and Herb, being two that spring to mind).
The things about this product that i liked was the fact that it is a quick and easy lunch for one (which is why I had it, as my children where at school and nursery and i was eating alone!). It is simple to make, tip the pasta and powdered sauce into a pan add 4oz of milk and 1/2 a pint of water and simmer. The recipe on the back of the packet recommends adding butter, but I never do this as I feel that this is a very unhealthy meal and do not want to add any more fat to the product, and to be honest, it is so full of flavour that i do not miss the butter.
It was tasty enough, did taste a little 'artificial', but did what it was supposed to i.e fill me up quickly and cheaply! I do have to add veg to this (chopped broccoli and sweetcorn), otherwise it feels like a bit of a non meal!
This is not a very healthy meal - I would not ever dream of givbing this to my kids! Also the pasta comes out too soft (maybe that is my poor cooking).
I would not want to eat these regularly I prefer a home cooked meal myself, but it was a nice enough lunch for one!
Summary: quick lunch for me, but I would not give it to my children!
