Advantages: quick, tasty and good quality chicken.

Disadvantages: Can be a little dry so use with a saucy accompanyment

I have never been a huge fan of processed chicken meals. I often find the quality poor, especially when frozen, and the price too high.

However, my boyfriend, who does most of the cooking, introduced me to these and I must say I was really impressed.

They were on offer at our local supermarket (around £2 for 4 I think) and we thought that we would give them a try. They also come in a two pack which is around £1.60 but we have noticed that Tesco don't stock these so if this is your regular supermarket you may have to try somewhere else for the smaller boxes, although if the 4 pack is on offer then this would be a much better deal.

They are well packaged with easy cooking instructions and all the usual nutritional information. They are around 260 calories per serving with 2 grams of saturated fat which is not excessive but not great either if you are counting the calories. They are a reasonable size but someone with a more substantial appetite may need to eat two.

What we found however, was a tasty and quick meal for the two of us that was also very versatile and looked exactly like the picture on the packaging! They take around 25 minutes to cook so you can throw them in the over when you get in from work and they'll be ready by the time you wind down.

My boyfriend prepared them and sliced them up on a Caesar salad and they went perfectly. They definitely made a tasty addition. The next time we tried them he sliced them and put them in a wrap with some melted cheese, fried onions and red pepper and they were scrumptious. I also made them one evening and used them the following day in work for lunch and they retained their taste and crunch.

My boyfriend also had them one day with spaghetti hoops. He thought it was once of the tastiest things he's had...I'm not convinced.

Anyway, the meat within the chicken is pretty good. It's succulent and 100% chicken breast which is always a good sign. They are very tasty, with a bit of a kick but not too spicy so even those who are not fans of anything two spicy will probably still like them. The texture of the breadcrumb coating is crunchy and just about the right thickness unlike some where you cut into it and its about two thirds coating and only a third chicken.

As I said they go very well with salad etc but I am not sure if I would just eat them on their own. They are ever so slightly dry so with a saucy accompaniment they would be perfect.

All in all a great quick, easy snack or meal but with the fat content I wouldn't feed them to my kids three times a week.

Summary: Great product for occasional dining
