Branston for beans but Heinz for beans sausages!

Having recently written a review on how Branston beans are now my favourite after years of eating nothing but Heinz I thought it only fair that I pointed out that Branston do not get everything quite so right.

I enjoy a tin of Heinz beans and sausages from time to time, a simple snack that is nice to dip a slice of bread and butter or two into and enjoy, seeing a tin of Branston beans and sausages today I just had to try them.

The beans are of course exactly as the beans in just a tin of Bransotn beans and they are very, very good, perfect in size, no hard ones and the sauce they come in tastes of proper tomato and not the somewhat sweet tomato artificial taste the Heinz sauce has.

However, Heinz win hands down when it comes to the sausages, the ones in this tin of Branstons beans and sausages were nowhere near as good as the ones Heinz do, they were a bit harder than the Heinz ones and had no ral taste of their own, they just tasted like the beans and the sauce whereas Heinz sausages give the beans a flavour and not the other way round.

There is the same amount of sausages in the Branston one as there are in the Heinz (8) and they are around the same size so the only difference is the taste and texture of the sausage and the Heinz ones are so much better.

At 79p per tin these are ever so slightly cheaper than the Heinz ones but definitely not as good, so for me it is Branstons for beans alone but for my beloved beans and sausages in a tin it still has to be Heinz.

      Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!!!

I've gone a bit mad on these Beans With Sausages since I first tried them a few weeks ago. The tin is different from the photo Dooyoo have got up, it's black now and dead nice looking.

Branston beans are nice on their own but the sausages in the tin are wicked and make the beans taste proper nice. There's just the right amount of sauce in them and the ONLY downside is that the tin hasn't got a ring pull on it so you have to use the tin opener! lol

The beans are nice and tender and are a nice size, they're wicked to chew but also slip down nice if you're like me and like to swallow the beans whole. They've got a nice smooth texture that makes them perfect for beans on toast or anything else you want to have them with.

I love how the sausages give the sauce a yummy salty flavour, the sauce is mega rich and thick anyway and the salt makes it proper tasty. The sausages are soft and cooked nice.... I say cooked but I mean warmed up in the saucepan! lol Beans and sausages are always yummy together but these are the best because of how meaty the sausages taste and how nice they go with the beans.

You get 8 little sausages in each tin and I reckon they make a proper nice filling meal on toast and it's deffo more exciting than having plain beans.

I know beans and sausages aren't very healthy but that doesn't matter if you only have them occasionally, it's not the sort of think I'd eat all the time but these are deffo the best out of ALL the brands you can get I reckon including Heinz even though they're my usual faves.

I paid 79p for this tin and I reckon it's worth it because that's about what I'd usually pay for Heinz and like I said I prefer these because of the sausages being nicer and I also think the sauce is thicker and totally more delish.
