Advantages: Tastes gorgeous, nice crispy base, loads of cheese
Disadvantages: Very fattening, do not cook very well in microwave
I am going through a bit of a stage of being addicted to Pizza's at the moment and Chicago Town Cheese Deep Pan Pizzas are one of my favourites.
Packaging
These pizzas come in a normal cardboard box which is primarily red with a picture of the pizza on the front (which looks very appealing). The Chicago Town logo is written across the front and underneath that is written Deep Dish Triple Cheese Pizza.
Price
I buy these pizza from Tesco where they normally cost £1.65 for a box of two. At the moment they are on a special offer for only £1 per box which is excellent - my freezer is now full of them!
The Pizza
The thing I like about these pizza's, is that they are mini size so could make do as a snack - although admittedly, I do tend to eat both of them at the same time because I'm a pig! The pizzas are probably about 5 inches across (at a guess) and each packet contains two mini pizzas.
How To Cook.
These pizzas can actually be cooked in two different ways. Personally I prefer to cook them in the oven as I think it makes the bases nice and crispy and it just tastes better overall in my opinion.
To cook in the oven, unwrap the pizza and place directly onto the oven shelf in a preheated oven (temp 190c) for 20 - 22 minutes.
You can also cook these in the microwave which is much quicker than cooking in the oven - they only take 3 minutes in a 850w microwave but as I already mentioned, the pizza doesn't taste half as nice when you cook it this way.
Smell
This pizza smells so nice while it is cooking. The 20 minutes cooking time seems like a life time when you are hungry and the smell certainly makes you want to eat the pizza there and then.
Taste
This pizza is different to other pizzas as it actually has quite a thick base, almost like a pie in the fact that the pizza topping is almost encased in lovely pastry. Normally I am not a fan of thick bases but this one if yummy as when you cook the pizza in the oven, the base crisps up really well.
The tomato sauce on the pizza is quite thick compared to other pizzas I have tasted and it certainly tastes very yummy with it. Then, to top it all off (literally) the pizza is covered in a thick layer of three cheeses. With some pizzas I have bought in the past, they tend to scrimp with the cheese and its more tomato than anything but this pizza is very generous with the cheese which I appreciate as the cheese if my favourite bit.Nutritional Information.

Summary
I would definitely recommend these pizzas. I think that they are slightly different from other pizzas on the market as they have a similar design to a pie, but all the taste of a pizza. The pizza is piled high with cheese (probably where all the calories come from) and the tomato sauce is very rich and tasty.
These pizza wouldn't be any good for anyone on a diet as they are full of calories.
To top it all off they are reasonably priced.
Summary: Cheesy Chicago!
