~*~*~ Iceland Chicken Curry with Rice ~*~*~ ~ What is it? ~ This is a Chicken Curry with Rice ready meal from Iceland. It is a meal for one. ~ Price & Availability ~ This is an Iceland product so can only be purchased from Iceland stores, it costs a very purse/wallet friendly £1. ~ Why I bought it? ~ There are times when I can't be bothered to cook a big meal for myself, or even not fancy a large meal and it is at these times I tend to turn to microwave meals. I have bought a good few of the Iceland ready meals and one I have bought a few times is this Chicken Curry with ... Read the complete review

Although I love cooking and aren't a massive fan of ready meals sometimes because my partner works all different shifts as a chef I just can't justify cooking for one, especially as we're on a tight budget. About a month ago we went to Iceland and along with a few other bits we picked up a good stock of ready meals just to have in. Since then I've worked my way through nearly all of them so I thought it was about time I started writing some reviews on them. One of the meals I've had a couple of times is Iceland's Chicken Curry with Rice which sells for the bargain price of just £1 and is available in all Iceland stores. The meal comes in a cardboard box ... Read the complete review

I always like to have some ready meals in my freezer for times when I really don't have time to prepare anything else or to have something I can just chuck in the microwave at work. Iceland ready meals tend to be inexpensive and generally tasty and so I find they're ideal. This ready meal consisting of chicken curry and rice costs only £1. The chicken curry and rice is in two separate pouches, but these pouches are joined together with a perforation down through the centre. Separating the pouches is easy and leaves both pouches intact. The curry takes a little longer than the rice to cook and so the curry goes in first and then the rice goes in after a few ... Read the complete review

I hate cooking a meal when I am home on my own, so the last time my girlfriend went away, I went into Iceland and picked up a frozen meal for one. I chose the chicken curry with rice, it only cost £1 so i thought it had to be worth a try. The packaging was the usual icelands style, it had a large yellow along the top of the box with Big Value pack written across it, the meal actually weighs 400g, i think the big value reflects the £1 price tag more than anything. The first thing i noticed when opening the box, is that this meal doesn't come in a hard plastic tray, it is actually separated in to two plastic pouches - one for the curry & the other for the ... Iceland produces a large range of frozen ready meals and I have to say that this is one of my favourite. It's very cheap at just £1.00 and it is actually very flavoursome and easy to cook too. You can buy it from any Iceland store from a freezer and you must keep it frozen until you cook it, which is arguably easier for storage reasons. The meal comes in a cardboard box, which has a blue background with the image of the curry dish on the front. In a bright yellow box is the value price at just £1.00. It's really cheap considering it makes a substantial main meal. The box is easily opened to reveal a plastic packet. The packet is joined together and ... Read the complete review
