I don't go into Iceland very often but when I do I always pick a bag of their Southern Fried Wedges up, they're only about £1.00 for quite a big bag and they're delish! They take about 20 mins to cook in the oven or you can grill or fry them, I always do stuff like this in the oven because I think they always cook best like that. The wedges have still got their skins on and have got a yummy flavour. They're quite a lot of southern fried flavouring on them and it's gorgeous, it's a bit spicey but doesn't blow your head off like a lot of southern fried stuff does. You can taste the spices in the wedges and that gives them a wicked flavour, the edges ... Read the complete review

I am known to shop in Iceland from time to time, mainly because of their low prices and free delivery, and one of the items that is regularly on our list to stock up the freezer is these southern fried wedges. With a bag costing £1.00, or £1.25 on occasion in the past, I find these absolutely fantastic value for money. These wedges come provided in a standard bag really, one of those stretch thick plastic types that can be torn open or simply cut to access the wedges within. These wedges just need to be poured on to a baking tray and then cooked for 20-25 minutes in the oven, well, that is how I cook them anyway. You can cook them under the grill or even fry ... I shop in Iceland quite a bit for frozen food and they're own make of southern fried potato wedges is the thing that I buy most in there. These are made from soft potato which is cooked in southern fried spices to give the wedges a delicious and slightly spicy flavour. The curved side of the wedges still have some of the potato skin left on but this isn't hard or even detectable when eating them so for those who don't like potato skins you won't even notice it. They take around 20 minutes to cook in the oven and when cooked the potato inside is soft and fluffy but the outside is quite crisp and gives off the most tasty southern fried flavour which ... Ive recently had Iceland wedges and found that different brands can vary in size and flavour, but Iceland for me are by far the best, most of these bags do state to cook them in the grill or oven, but for me thats too long winded ! I like to slap a pizza in the oven and then 3 minutes before its ready just drop the wedges into a deep fat frier at around 150 degrees, the result is perfect tasting wedges every time. hope this hint helps, happy ...
