Advantages: handy for us

Disadvantages: full price

I often buy these especially when they are on offer, last week a box of 2 were selling at £1 in our nearby Asda. They are normally on sale at about £1.79 in most supermarkets from the frozen department.
I buy these so when we run out of bread and can't be bothered going to the shop I can just put them in the oven for dinners the next day. So we eat them cold.

When taken out of the box these look like the rectangular pasties you can buy but the pastry on top is criss cross.
The instructions say cook from frozn for 25 minutes in the centre of the oven on gas mark 6/200 C. I find I don't have to cook them quite that long using a fan oven.
As they are cooking the smell is really nice it smells like cheese and onion cooking. it does tell you to brush egg or milk on before cooking but I never do so they probably look a lot lighter when they come out of the oven than if I did brush them with something.

These lattices (that I call pasties) also have quite a bit of potato in. As you are eating one you can spot the red onion quite easily but it isn't huge chunks, that goes for the leek too.

We all like these pasties but they do taste like cheese and onion pasties but a really nice one with a really nice smell and just the right amount of cheese.

I have never yet been able to cook these without some of the cheese bubbling over.

Summary: nice
