Advantages: Good taste, quick, relatively inexpensive
Disadvantages: Poor nutrional values, prefered taste, small portions
Being a student, I often buy foods that are similar to this style of microwavable meal range. The taste and quality of this product is not something that's going to blow you away or I would serve to impress someone. However, I find this kind of snack rather enjoyable as it's similar to the products found in fast food outlets. For me I regard this product as a subsitute if I'm eating in, to fast food. I don't eat this product everyday like I don't eat fast food everyday, but it's a product to eat if your not in the mood to cook or fancy an unhealthy alternative. The product itself requires minimal effort to cook. It's served in two cardboard sachets, which you tilt upright for around 1:45-2:45 minutes in the microwave in comparison with the average of 20 minutes to cook oven chips. The price is relatively inexpensive aswell, they cost about £1.40 - £1.70 depending on the supermarket which is reasonable based on 2 servings based on the average food budget.
There are a few negative points of this product however. You can purchase a kilogram of oven chips from your local supermarket for around £1.50 - £2.50 which is far much beter value as it offers around 12 servings in the long run if your on quite a restricted food budget such as myself. Also the serving size is not suffient to make me feel adequetly full. I consider this product more of a snack imore than as part of a main meal. The product also has poor nutritional values as expected and is high in saturated fat, so I'd recommend treating this product as more of a occasional purchase
To summarise, I would recommend this product for busy parents feeding their children, students who can't cook or operate anything but a microwave, if you want to replicate the fast food experiance at home and the odd occasion where you can't be bothered to cook.
Summary: Convenient food, not overly enjoyable but satisfys a need
