      Rubbish Morrisons!

When in Morrisons the other day I was absolutely starving! I should know better than to shop on an empty stomach though and so I decided to get something to eat! I love prawns and I love pasta so I put down the unhealthy looking sandwich I had picked up in favour of this and at £1.19 I thought it was a really good buy for the portion size of the pot!

      The Packaging:

Round see through and quite deep plastic pot with a removable lid to the top of it. On the top of that lid there is a white and green label and on that I'm told it's Morrisons 'Fresh To Go' Prawn Pasta Salad Snack Pot and the size is stated which is 300g, the price is displayed clearly and I'm told to keep it refrigerated and the best before date is stamped on. The only other information on this pot are contact details for Morrisons and a bar-code. That's it! No ingredients, allergy advice or a nutritional chart is given!

      The Pasta:

Really, really bland. Little tiny creamy coloured shells and loads of them. They didn't taste seasoned and didn't taste of anything but sort of slimy really (but at least they were not chewy!). They were soggy and easy to digest but in the flavour stakes nil points! About 8 tiny prawns were in it again without any flavour really and the only saving grace in this was the flakes of red pepper skin, tiny cubes of cucumber and sweetcorn kernel's in which there were plenty of that gave it a bit of texture as well as flavour and bite...but not really very much compared to the amount of pasta in the pot! The sauce is Marie rose which there was enough to coat the contents with but it was thin and had a slight tomato taste but nothing really and I felt this whole pot was mighty disappointing.

Bland pasta, a few veggies and a couple of prawns, worth the money sure for the portion size you get but this didn't delight me at all and I won't buy it again sadly. Looks better than it tastes but there's plenty of it for hungry tummies. Also a moan is that if this is a snack to go then why an earth is there no plastic fork or something to eat it with eh? Hmmmmm....

Only available in Morrisons stores (and you should leave it there lol).
