A nice change from the usual meals.

Our usual Saturday walk round ASDA the other week took an unexpected turn for the better. A casual stroll down the deli ailse took us past the Old El Paso stand. I glanced over a few of the products on offer and pretty much fancied them all.

I shouted the trouble and strife over and we eventually decided on The Taco Diner kit. A quick read of the instructions and we headed for some chicken breasts and an onion. We already had some cheese which was also an extra ingredient. Another quick shifty and we saw a lettuce was also required.

For the first time in ages I was a bit excited about Saturday tea time, I was certainly looking forward to having the taco's.

The preparation for this dish is minimal. Grate some cheese as much as you want, chop a couple of tomatoes into decent chunks, and shred a little lettuce. If you haven't got a microwave turn the oven on quite low just to heat up the Taco's a little.

Cut the chicken breasts ( 3-4 should suffice )into resonable sized pieces. Fry these in a little oil until brown around the outside. Add the Taco seasoning and continue to fry until cooked. Remove the warm taco's from the microwave of oven. divide the chicken equally between the 8 Taco's sprinkle each taco with cheese and add some tomato and lettuce.

Now the good bit. Although in my house we end up with 2 each I find that most times this is suffice. There is the odd time I've felt like one more or perhaps just a half more. The taste is simply delish. There is a fairly strong smokey taste and some medium hot spices. Not so hot as to make your mouth uncomfortable just nice and warm shall we say. The cold cheese and tomato serve to compliment the spices.

Serve with a nice Salsa this is a very nice evening meal and makes a nice change from the usual diners.

The kit comes in at about £1.99. For this outlay you get 8 Taco shells, the all important seasoning and a foil sealed packet of salsa, this makes 8 Taco's.

Pretty good value for money in my book. Very tasty indeed.
