Me and my girlfriend are big fans of Pizza Express' range of pizzas at the supermarket, however they're pretty expensive so it's not something we enjoy too often. Shopping at Tesco last week we picking up a Pizza Express American Simple Pepperoni Pizza for £2.50 instead of the usual £5 so it's a really good buy. The pizza comes in a square flat dark blue box with a rectangle section cut out and covered in film so you can see the pizza inside. On the box we're promised "Thinly sliced pepperoni and creamy mozzarella cubes on our original tomato sauce". Each pizza is handmade and this is very apparent when you take it out of the box, the ... I love pizzas, I do quite often make my own but sometimes its easier to have a shop bought one when you don't have time to make your own. One of the recent shop bought pizzas we have tried is the Pizza Express American. Pizza Express as many people know is the very popular pizza chain of restaurants that you can find in most cities across the country and I have eaten there many times and I do enjoy their pizzas so was keen to see whether the shop bought ones would match their freshly made ones in their restaurants. The pizzas do come in various sizes we had the 250g one. The pizza comes in a blue cardboard box with the pizza express logo in white on the ... Read the complete review

Pizza Express is a chain of restaurants specialising in you guessed it...Pizza! I had been a couple of the restaurants and found the pizza's to be very good indeed but they are rather expensive so when I noticed that Pizza Express had launched a range of its most popular pizza's in supermarkets I was eager to try them. Since then I have tried several of them with the most recent being the American. The pizza's come in small and large sizes, the one I purchased was the large 510g American which was on a half price special offer price at Tesco for just £2.50. I actually had a £1.00 off coupon for the pizza from Tesco so it actually worked out at just £1.50 which ... Read the complete review

** This review is for the Pizza Express American Simple Pepperoni Pizza ** Earlier in the week I posted a review on DooYoo regarding my disastrous attempt to heat up an Iceland frozen pizza and ended up throwing the whole lot into the bin. Still fancying a pizza and with the Pizza Express range being half price at the moment in Morrisons I picked up one of the Pepperoni variety and am pleased to report that my faith in pre-prepared pizza has been restored! Housed in a simple dark blue flat box, the information tells us that this is "individually handmade" and it contains "Thinly sliced pepperoni and creamy mozzarella cubes ... Read the complete review

Being very partial to this pizza when I visit Pizza Express, I decided to try the budget version at home since I'm meant to be trying hard to save some pennies. On first impressions, the box is quite attractive with its navy blue colouring and Pizza Express logo, which makes the brand instantly recognisable and helped the pizza jump off the shelf and into my basket. The packaging states quite clearly that the pizza is handmade 'by people not machines' so I had high hopes, especially since this pizza is my favourite when I go to the restaurants. At 256g, I was slightly disappointed when I realised this pizza is a good bit smaller than the ... Read the complete review
