      see review, thanks for reading.

Pizza is one of my favourite foods and I like to try different brands and varieties, recently I noticed this particular pizza on offer in Tesco, half price from £3.29 down to £1.64 so into my shopping basket it went.

Packaged in a square box with the Italian flag colours of green, white and red covering a third of the box you are informed that it is a "Primafresco traditional Italian style pizza" and that it is "Double Pepperoni - A delicious stonebaked Italian style pizza base topped with a rich tomato sauce, a blend of cheeses, pepperoni and mini pepperoni, garnished with parsley"

The weight of the pizza is 385g and is suitable for home freezing. Cooking instructions recommend you heat in an oven for 12-14 minutes before serving. Nutritional Information advises that half a pizza contains:

      595 kcals
      6.2g sugar
      29.3g fat
      11.0 g saturates
      2.7g salt

Taking the pizza out of the oven you notice a spicy aroma, the cheese has melted nicely and the whole thing looks very appealing. Taking a first bite you are met with the taste of pepperoni and tomato and the base is cooked to perfection, crispy but not hard. The cheese and parsley are evident but the overwhelming taste is of pepperoni.

I enjoyed this pizza, the mixture of topping and thin base is good and you do taste all the flavours that are there, being a fan of pepperoni anyway I liked that this was the dominant flavour as sometimes you can buy pepperoni pizza that only has a small amount on and is lost in the other flavours.

I thought it was an absolute bargain at only £1.64 and would definitely buy it again.

Ingredients are listed as containing: Wheat Flour, Water, Mozzarella Cheese (16%), Pepperoni (9%), Tomato (5%), Mini Pepperoni (4.5%), Vegetable Oil, Yeast, Olive Oil, Sugar, Salt, Cornflour, Parsley, Dextrose, Oregano, Black Pepper. Pepperoni: Pork, Porl Fat, Salt, Dextrose, Spice Mix (Salt, Dextrose, Paprika, Paprika Extract, Pepper Extract, Ginger Extract, Garlic, Sugar, Onion, Rosemary Extract), Preservative (Sodium Nitrite), Antioxident (Sodium Ascorbate ). Mini Pepperoni: Irish Beef, Pork, Beef Fat, Natrual Flavouring, Milk Sugar, Salt, Dextrose, Vegetable Oil, Antioxident (Sodium Ascorbate), Preservative (Sodium Nitrite).

Allergy advice warns that the product does contain Gluten, Wheat, Wheat flour, Milk and Milk sugar.

All in all I would give this 5/5 stars for its price, flavour and texture, Im not sure if this brand can be found in other supermarkets as I have only ever seen it in Tesco, it isnt a Tesco brand though so maybe worth looking out for.

Wicked Pizza That's Half Price In Tesco At The Minute

These Prima Fresco was on special offer in Tesco for £1.64, I've not had one of these before but it was yummy and dead filling with garlic bread and wedges.

It's a stonebaked pizza that you cook from frozen in 18 mins. The base is thick and the crust seems to rise better than other pizzas during cooking and when it's in the oven the smell of it cooking is delish and proper made my mouth water while I was waiting for the timer to go off.

There's 2 lots of pepperoni on the pizza, the normal sized slices and loads of much smaller circles that cook to a dark brown colour and taste wicked. The pepperoni is nice and greasy but isn't dripping with oil like a lot of frozen pepperoni pizzas, it goes sooooo good with the mozerella and white cheese that's melted so nice on the top of the pizza.

The tomato sauce is rich and tastes strong of herbs, it's just the right thickness and means that the base isn't dry. All the flavours go proper well together and it tastes lovely and fresh, I don't think the pizza is too greasy at all and they have obviously used more mozzerella than the other cheese because it has gone a bit stringy and hasn't got loads of puddles of grease off the cheese.

There's enough pepperoni that the pizza tastes nice and meaty but the best thing about it is the cheese I reckon because it's so tasty and creamy. It's all perfect as it goes, I had 2 pieces and thought it was filling because normally I can eat 3 or 4 slices of frozen pizza and still don't feel full up.

I really enjoyed this pizza and think it's one of the nicest pizzas I've had in ages. It was chilled when I brought it but can be frozen for up to 1 month, it cooked well from frozen but if you keep it in the fridge it would be a proper quick snack because it cooks in 12 minutes.
