Quorn Sizzling Burgers:
'Tasty meat free Quorn burgers, for healthier teatime meals'
My Findings:
You have a choice of four options when coming to cook these burgers you can oven, grill, hob and barbeque. I normally oven cook these but in the summer months I do them on the barbeque and they really are delicious.
Oven cook: Pre-heat oven & baking tray to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6. Brush the Quorn Burgers with oil, place on a baking tray and cook on the middle oven shelf for 10 minutes. Grill: Pre-heat grill to a medium setting, brush Quorn Burgers with oil and grill for 8 minutes, turning frequently.
Barbecue: Brush Quorn Burgers with oil and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning frequently. Hob : Pre-heat 1 tablespoon of oil over a medium heat and cook Quorn Burgers for 8 minutes, turning frequently.
Once out of the oven I normally serve on a wholemeal bap with salsa and salad which really is to die for! The burger is moist and somewhat meaty; it really just melts in your mouth. I have never eaten beef so I can not say personally if it is similar however my meat eating partner also likes these burgers and never complains.
These burgers are a good size so you only really need one person if accompanying with a bap, or what I also think is nice and less calories a pita pocket with some rocket salad and some pepper sauce! They look just like a normal beef patty and about half an inch in thickness. As you can see from the photo they have the same colour as a meat burger too. They don't smell strong when cooking nor do you get a strong scent when smelling them however you can surely taste them.
I have found these both in the chiller section and frozen section in the supermarket, however you can only freeze them one. I find they normally have a good shelf life so they are great stock up when I find them on offer.
Packaging has changed recently and instead of the green and orange Quorn used on their packaging it is now just Orange and a larger photo of the product itself. They still stand out just as well as they did before. You can also get these in larger pack great for family homes.

I regularly purchase these from my local Asda and they do from time to time have them on offer for £1. Normally price in supermarkets is around the £2 mark.
Overall:
I think these are great; they cook nicely on the barbeque so we veggies don't have to be left out during the BBQ season. They taste great, filling and lower in fat than normal meat burgers. If you do fancy them I would certainly recommend you give them a try.
Five out of five stars from me.
Thanks for reading.
