“ Brand: Quorn / Type: Vegetarian „
I first saw these on offer in Morrisons for 3 for £5 so I thought I would give them a go. I'm not a fan of microwave meals prefering to make my own food and freeze it to create my own. However, the Quorn range is known to be healthy and I like many of its products.
I decided to try this one evening when I was going out and would be in a rush. The 1st thing I noticed upon cooking as it seemed to take ages to cook, longer than stated on the packet. I also noticed that the sauce and spaghetti cooked much quicker than the balls themsleves so the sauce was totally boiling when I finally came to eating. The plastic had also gone quite floppy which made transfering to a plate to eat rather tricky, esp with molton sauce. However, once all that drama was over the food itself, when finally cool enough to eat, was nice. It tasted nice and was an acceptable portion. The spaghetti and sauce were fairly standard and the meatballs had a lovely herb taste to them.
Would I buy it again? Maybe if it was on offer and I knew I needed a quick meal. I have to say it wasn't as tasty as our own veggie meatballs or spaghetti bolagnase which we make. Which I found odd as we use the Quorn recipes for these. I wouldn't pay full price for it.
