      worth the money

I like cauliflower cheese but not as much as my youngest. Sometimes I don't have the time or inclination to make it. So sometimes I buy a ready made frozen one which can be put in the oven anytime.
But whilst doing a Sainsburys shop I came across a basics refrigerated cauliflower cheese and at only 99p thought I would give it a try.

It comes in a plastic tray with a film covering and then a cardboard sleeve has been slipped over it. (looking like dooyoos picture). Each pack is 300 grams and when cooked has 178 calories, 0.56g sodium (1.14g of salt).

      *************** The ingredients are *****************

      cauliflower
      and the cheese sauce contains
      water
      cows milk
      reserve mature cheddar cheese
      wheat flour
      rapseed oil
      salt
      dijon mustard
      white pepper

It can be cooked in the microwave in 5 minutes, which I have never done or in the oven in 25 minutes. If you freeze it then obviously it will take longer to cook.
I cooked it in the oven and served it with the rest of the meal, both my daughters loved it because to them it is food and it contains cheese (the name says it does).

There was a lot more sauce than I normally find in a ready made cauliflower cheese but although this is not necessary a bad thing; there is less cauliflower in it so to me this isn't great. The pack is only small so it was noticed more than if it was double the size.
The taste was fine although not quite as tasty as the more expensive ones and a lot less tasty than my home made ones.

For 99p it was worth it.
