... place them onto an oven proof tray and I coated them with a beaten egg, using a pastry brush and cooked them in the oven on gas mark 6 for approximately 40 minutes and I found they took no time to prepare as they are best cooked from frozen and very easy to coat them with the egg.
The texture of the pastry is quite soft after being cooked and the inside sausage meat is a reasonably nice taste, it is not the best quality by no stretch of the imagination but for the cheap price it is not a bad quality at all, in fac...more

I recently saw these sausage rolls from Sainsbury's Basics range of food products and thought I would buy them and try them as I am always snacking and on a lower budget for a couple of years now and I have such a large family and lots of grandchildren to feed when they come to stay etc and it can be quite an expensive time when a lot of them arrive at the same time, and so I thought the amount in the bag was a very good amount to try. These come in a white and orange colours plastic bag, the packaging is very basic and for 50 sausage rolls they cost me only 98p for 700g, which I thought was a brilliant amount and they are frozen and each one measures ...
