      Really not impressed.

I got this quiche as it was on offer, at £2.00, it usually costs £2.79, but I wouldn't buy it again.

I usually make my own quiches but I was feeling a bit lazy so purchased this with the shopping, and it really didn't impress me at all. Considering it is in the taste the difference range I expected it to be better.

The description on the packet is this "An all-butter Signature shortcrust pastry case filled with creamy Channel Islands' milk, sweet cherry tomatoes, Mozzarella and an aromatic nut-free pesto"

The packaging was a cardboard box with a plastic window and a quiche in foil inside. Before you cook it suggests to take it out of the foil and cook for 25 minutes at 190 degrees. We did exactly that and it came out awful. The all butter pastry was really hard and a bit too brown for my liking, not burnt but a dark brown colour, and the inside was really gooey (not in a good way).

So it looked vile but we were hungry so ate it anyway, and the taste wasn't much better. The tomatoes were tiny and not very flavourful, there was a bit of mozzarella in there but I couldn't taste any pesto at all. It tasted very eggy too, which I know is one of the main ingredients, but when it claims all these other flavours are in there like tomato and pesto, I didn't expect to taste the egg.

The nutritional information of this quiche is actually quite shocking too, I know that they are going to be quite high in fat but this particular quiche has 25.6 grams of fat (not including the "of which saturates fat"), and that is worked out on a third of the quiche!

All in all, I was really disappointed with everything about this product, the taste, the texture, the unnecessary packaging and the ridiculously high fat content. I wouldn't recommend this at all.
