      Very helpful

Tasty and plain just the way my bf appreciates (bot his women mind you thankfully lol)

My boyfriend is the pickiest of eaters I have ever met. He will only eat very plain foods and there is so much he won't even attempt to eat. I could never buy a pizza with sliced tomato or onion on the top, any kind of herbs and a meat feast one is totally out the question as he would have palpatations at the mere thought of that. He will and has done for years only eaten the plainest of pizzas, just simply cheese and tomato is his limit and even then I have to cremate it!

I spotted this Stateside Foods one in Asda costing only a pound a box (different variteies were/are available as well) and I could see a section of the pizza through a 'window' and it looked nice enough to me so I grabbed one for me and him to share over a horror movie or two the weekend just gone lol.

      The Packaging:

The box is square in shape and orange in colour. On the front of the box there is a window that I mentioned already and a photograph of the pizza is shown and we are told that it is Stateside Foods Thin & Crispy Cheese & Tomato Pizza 'A thin and crispy base topped with tomato sauce and a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses', we are also told that it is freezable and suitable for Vegetarians, that it cooks in 12 minutes and that the weight of it is 250g. Other information listed on the back of the box includes ingredients and allergy advice being listed as well as a full nutritional chart being given and cooking instructions and contact details for Statesfide Foods LTD are given and inside the box the pizza is protected with a clear plastic sealed wrapper you simply need to rip off prior to cooking it.

      The Pizza Itself:

All you do with this pizza is either oven bake it from chilled in 10-12 minutes or from frozen in 12-14 minutes. I cooked mine from frozen in about 14 minuites and it was well cooked and the cheese had melted and took on a golden colour and looked nice enough.

There isn't alot of cheese on this but just enough to cover the rather large pizza base and under that a thin layer of tangy but naturally sweet tomato puree is there. This is blended with a little oregano and garlic according to the information listed on the ingredient list but I couldn't detect those flavourings at all and neither could my boyfriend (which is just as well really lol).

The base is crispy, crunchy, light and tasty. It is rather bread like with a slight malted taste to it and its well seasoned too and not too messy to eat.

Although I am not a fan of very plain tasting foods such as this I must admit to being rather impressed by it all in all. The cheese that was on it was tasty, sharp in places and creamy in others, the crunchiness was also superb without it snapping my teeth off and my boyfriend loved it! I wouldn't hesitate in buying this again at the price it is thats for sure. It happily feeds 4 people with small sppetites or 2 greedy people easily and of course you can always add a little extra cheese if you think Stateside have been a bit mean or any other topping you wish to. This is an economy buy but a tasty and quality one too and like I say we enjoyed it!
