The Tesco Finest Italian Spinach & Ricotta Cannelloni, is contained in a black plastic dish covered with a clear thin plastic top, with a cardboard sleeve label. You can clearly see the cannelloni so you can take a peek before you buy. The cardboard sleeve is similar to most Tesco finest products with the black and silver colour theme and Tesco finest logo. The sleeve has a picture of a few leaves of spinach and a small bowl of ricotta. With a quick glance nutritional information guide and the products weight in the bottom right corner. The cannelloni weighs 360g and costs £2.99.
The cannelloni can be cooked in microwave or oven. I have only made this in the oven at 200oc for 10 minutes. When out of the oven you can smell the gorgeous fresh pasta and creamy ricotta. It looks appetizing and the top in lightly brown. The pasta cooks well and tastes like fresh pasta should. The combination of ricotta and spinach is just right, the cheese tastes fresh and creamy and the spinach is nicely wilted. The only draw back is there is not enough sauce so it can be dry, this is easily remedied by putting a thin layer of tangy passata on the top, which complements the flavours of the cannelloni.
