A great tasting burger that is definitely worth the money when they are on offer!

I mentioned recently how I had bought a selection of burgers from Tesco as they were on offer. These were another from the 'homestyle' range that I had bought at the same time and so now I have tried these I will share my opinion on them.

      The burger:
The burgers are sold exclusively in Tesco and are sold in a pack of two. The burgers are quite large in size and these particular ones are beef and have sundried tomato and basil blended into them.

      The packaging:
The burgers come in a long and wide cardboard box and the box states that they are new in the range. The picture shows the burger on a bed of salad on a barm which looks very tasty!

      Cooking them:
The burgers take some time to cook due to their size but, what I like about them is they retain the majority of their size when being cooked unlike some which shrink in size. As they are cooking they do smell so nice and look very appealing.

      The taste:
The burger certainly looked tasty and very juicy! As soon as I bit into it I was amazed by just how nice it was - the other burger in the range that I had previously tried had been nice but, not as nice as this one! It was just so yummy and I don't know if it was the mixture of the herbs or tomato but, it was really different to any other burger I've had before! It was very filling too due to how thick it was which meant that I really felt like I'd had a huge meal after having the burger on a barm with some fries! The burger was very juicy and I think this is what made it taste as nice as I could taste a mixture of the meat combined with all the other flavours and it was just so mouth watering!

      Price:
I paid £1.24 for the box of two burgers which I know isn't the cheapest burger but, they are large type burgers and one on a barm is filling enough. When I bought these they were on offer and would have normally been priced at £1.49 per box, however I noticed that when I did my shopping recently they had gone up to a staggering £2.99 per box! So unless they are on offer again I would unfortunately just not pay this price for them.

      Overall opinion:
I was impressed by these burgers as they over exceeded my expectations - I had expected them to be tasty due to having a different variety in the range before eating these but, they were even tastier than the others and so I was glad I had bought one of each of the varieties now! Overall a great burger that I would definitely want again - however until they are reduced back down I just cannot justify paying £2.99 per box no matter how nice they are! If this was the price for 4 burgers then at least I'd get two days meals out of them between myself and my husband but, because of the strict budget I have when shopping I would have to pass until they are a more reasonable price.
