      Tasty Italian Pizza

Although Pizzas are undoubtedly delicious, I usually find that there is a huge gulf in quality between the pizza that you buy in restaurants and the ones that you buy in the supermarkets. Generally, I'm not a big fan of Tesco's Pizzas, as I find the tomato puree that they use to be far too sweet - almost sugary in fact. However, seeing the 'Quattro Formaggi' variety from their Italian range, I decided to give it a go. The pizza features generous amounts of Italian Mascarpone, Mozeralla, Ricotta, and Provolone cheese, and from the picture on the packaging it looks really tasty.

Currently the pizza can be purchased for £1.75 (reduced from £3.50) from the larger Tesco stores throughout the country.

      Appearance & Taste

The base is Italian style and quite thin, and providing you cook it for the recommended amount of time (13-14 mins at 200C) it should turn out to be crispy and delicious. The topping is good too, and the four cheeses combine beautifully to create a creamy yet subtle taste. Thankfully, the tomato puree isn't too sweet, and complements the cheeses very well.

      Ingredients

Wheat Flour, Mozzarella Cheese (71%), Tomato, Provolone Cheese (10%), Cheddar Cheese (9%), Mascarpone Cheese (8%), Water, Tomato Puree, Vegetable Oil, Yeast, Reduced Sodium Salt, Oregano, Dried Parsley, Sugar, Cornflour, and Black Pepper.

Tesco's Quattro Formaggi Pizza exceeded my expectations, and it's definitely something that I'll purchase again. The overall flavour is quite delicious, and the differences between the four cheeses make for an enjoyable eating experience.
