“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Pizza „
I brought a bag of these for me and my mate to take with us when we went away on Saturday night, we wanted stuff that would fit into the tiny freezer in her nan's static caravan and because these mini pizzas come in a bag instead of a box I thought I'd get them because they could be squeezed into a corner.
You get 15 mini pizzas for £1.00 and that's not bad value, I wasn't actually mad keen on the pizzas though but for that price it didn't bother me and anyway my mate scoffed the rest of them so it's not like there was any waste! lol
The pizzas are tiny and even smaller than I was expecting them to be, they only take 10 mins to cook and you can also microwave them but I reckon they would be rank nuked!
The pizzas bases were too soft for me, it said on the bag that if I heated the baking tray up first then the bases would crisp up better but that didn't happen and they were proper stodgy and chewy. The cheese has gone a nice golden brown but I think there's too much cheese for the size of the pizzas and I couldn't taste the tomato or base much.
When you peel some of the cheese off you can tell that the tomato puree is very cheap tasting, it's got a bit of a herby flavour but that's wasted because you can't hardly taste it over the cheese.
I don't think these tasted much like pizza and I was a bit disappointed in them, not madly disappointed though because I've had mini pizzas like this from other supermarkets and have never been that impressed with them.
They look a lot better than they taste but one good thing is that each tiny pizza has only got 60 calories in it so if your dieting you can sort of get the taste of pizza without wasting thousands of calories on it.
