Advantages: they are only 9p

Disadvantages: packaging

I only tend to eat noodles during my lunch hour because of convenience, but I think I found a good little buy with the Tesco Value Noodles.

Each pack costs 9p for 65g pack, which is a real bargain! The packaging isn't too great on the product-the noodles come in a pack the same shape ar Batchelor's supernoodles, but with the Tesco Value red and blue logo. There is a picture of the noodles on the front which makes it a better than the usual value products.

The curry noodles are tasty and easy to cook. Place in a microwavable dish and add 200ml o boiling water, add the sachet of flavour and microwave for 1.5 mins, stir, and cook for a further 1.5mins. That easy! if you prefer to use the hob, once you've brought them to the boil, simmer for 2.5mins.

The sachet of curry flavour is quite strong and is enough to give the noodles a good flavour. I normally eat them on their own, but my husband tends to add spring onions and ham to bulk it out a bit.

They are handy to keep in the cupboard incase you need a quick snack. They contain wheat and gluten. Each pack has 400 calories and 6.9g of saturated fat.

If you like noodles they are worth a try. They also have bacon and chicken flavour in the range. I can't taste the difference between them and supernoodles.

Summary: try them!
