Peter Graff ... all my 15 years of renting, I have never encountered an estate agent quite so useless as Peter Graff! This Winchmore Hill, London Based Estate Agent are renowned around the North London area for their uselessness and I had always vowed that if there was ever an opportunity to voice my opinion about them then I would let rip. I rented a flat in Palmers Green from them and the agent who dealt with our agreement is one of the two joint members Brian Graff (the other Being Peter Panayi who left the company in 2005 and really I have no gripe with as I had very little to do with him), was typically pleasant up until the point of actually having paid and moved in. Estate Agents in general ... are the worst ever. I called them to make an appointment to view a house. The estate agent (where do they recruit them from anyway?) told me that they could only show me the house if I went to the branch to, as he put it, check my finances. I said no because: a) I work and I do not have the time; b) I also do not intend to spend my Saturday morning with an estate agent so that s/he can check my finances when the only thing I want is to view a particular which I do not even know if I will like it. In fact what they want is to get a morgage agreement down your throat, denying you the chance and right to shop around as you should. This said, he then told me th... Winkworth ... are a digrace to all estate agencys.they will use what ever means ,including fradulent to not pay out tenants deposits.Do not trust them from the outset.When you move in check the list carefully as they have a habit of carrying around a number of different check in lists of the state of the property not all the same and will try to give you the one that does not represent the state of the property when you move in.Pay special attention to the paint work.they realise tenants useally move within two years so the quality is poor and they will definetly try to get you to have it repainted when you move out.You will find that if you try to clean the walls the paint w...
