Your Move: ... sold our house through Your Move in Aug 09. They were slightly cheaper than the others, but don t be persuaded by that! The services we received were minimal . 	Removal Services in general ... need to express my great appreciation of the service that Simpsons Removals & Storage Ltd gave us during our move. The packing team were excellent. They worked fast and efficiently and had the job done in an amazingly short time. We cannot identify one single item that has been broken or lost. It was a pleasure to have such pleasant and considerate young men at work in the house. On the second day, the removal team were absolutely ace performers. They arrived promptly, worked skilfully and hard and completed both collection and delivery with immense professionalism. 	Barratt Homes ... THE BEGINNING Following the death of my dad at last Christmas, my mum decided it was time to come back to the UK after about 18 years in Cyprus. Her decision was also influenced by the much higher cost of living over there (following the conversion to the euro) and the increasingly hot summers. I was therefore the man on the ground in the UK looking for a property for her. She specified a ground floor flat (she s getting on a bit) within walking distance to town. After a couple of weeks fruitless searching, the Halifax Estate Agency pointed me in the direction of the Barratt development at Priory Gate, Dartford, the previous site of the old hospital. 	Persimmon Homes ... were buying a Persimmon Home through their home-mover scheme - where they pay the estate agent and HIP fees. We found a full asking price buyer quickly - twice - but unfortunately due to minor problems they fell through. The property was back on the market for a couple of days with a lot of interest (we currently have a city centre flat, with parking) and within a couple of days we had an offer. Unfortunately, it was well under the asking price. As we had plenty of other interest, we told them we d wait and see for 1 week. Persimmon (encouraged by the estate agent) then rang and told us we accepted that offer or they would remarket our house. This is despite promising ...
